The Coral Gardens at Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef is a very interesting shore dive with a maximum depth of around 12 metres. The gardens were damaged by a cyclone in 1992 but have recovered remarkably since then. This is an extremely good night dive site with all types of marine life.
